Iremu Lake
The lake surface of Iremu Lake is about 1,120 meters above sea level, about 5,000 kilometers long from north to south, about 2,000 kilometers wide from east to west, and the lake is 100 meters deep. Iremu Lake is one of the great blessings bestowed by nature on the Keketuohai area. It is hidden in a fault depression about 4 kilometers southwest of Keketuohai Town, located on the Altai Mountains and the Irtysh River, which are known as "golden mountains and silver waters". It is called "Haizikou" by the locals. "Iremu" means "whirlpool" in Kazakh, and it is in the shape of a huge "8". It is the largest fault basin on the Fuyun earthquake fault zone.
Ayiguozi Mine Cave
The Ayiguozi Mine Cave is located 500 meters south of the Keketuohai No. 3 Mine and was discovered by local miner Ayiguozi Shalimu in 1949.
It is understood that in May 1949, when Ayiguozi was resting above the No. 3 mine, he discovered beryl underground and a white vein extending to the hill south of the No. 3 mine. He led the miners to conduct small-scale manual mining. After mining, they found that the mine mainly contained beryl, niobium-tantalum (manganese) ore, spodumene, mica, quartz and other minerals. After that, the newly discovered mine was named after Ayiguozi.
Irtysh Grand Canyon
Irtysh Grand Canyon is located in Fuyun County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, and is a major attraction in Keketuohai National Geopark. Along the Irtysh River, there are continuous granite peaks, with rounded peaks and various shapes, each of which tells a beautiful story. It can be called 108 peaks. What is even more peculiar is that the surface of the granite peaks here is mostly dense honeycomb-like pits, and vertical grooves that look like solidified waterfalls, just like waterfall fossils.
Shenzhongshan
Shenzhong Mountain is located about 40 kilometers upstream of the Irtysh River in Fuyun County. On both sides of the Irtysh River, there are two bell-shaped rocks, about 1,000 meters high. White birch, pine and Siberian spruce grow on the rocks, and moss grows on the rocks. When the rain stops and the sky clears, white clouds linger on the rock peaks and rainbows pass through the sky, creating a spectacular view. There is a beautiful legend about the formation of the bell-shaped rock in the local Kazakh folk. It is said that Amirsana and her brother Hong Taiji had a conflict over their father's throne, and each led their army to fight. Amirsana was stationed on the top of the bell-shaped rock on the south bank of the Irtysh River, while Hong Taiji was stationed on the top of the mountain on the north bank. They refused to give in and fought for several days. Both died. In memory of the brother and sister, later generations named the two rocks Amirsana and Hong Taiji.
Whether you want to appreciate the wonders of nature or explore the rich local cultural history, Fuyun County can bring you endless surprises and touches. Every attraction here is waiting for your discovery.
