There is a Red Sect Nyingmapa temple on the island in the center of the lake, which has a history of more than 1,500 years. Dense and quiet forests surround the jade-like lake, and the ancient temple in the center of the lake blends Basongcuo into its long history. In the background are two snow-capped mountains at an altitude of 5,500 meters, forming an extremely stunning scenery. Afterwards, we passed through Taizhao Ancient City and Xiuba Castle to Lhasa.

We headed west along the Niyang River, a tributary of the Brahmaputra River. The water of the Niyang River is as clear as emerald. There are dots of villages scattered along the river bank. The snow-capped mountains and forest landscapes have always accompanied our journey. When we crossed the Mila Pass at an altitude of 5,013 meters, we entered the Jiqu River Valley. Lhasa is located in the center of the valley, not far from the holy city of Lhasa. The day was filled with stunning natural scenery and historical and cultural experiences.

In the morning, we will visit the Potala Palace, the highest ancient castle-like building complex in the world. This is the residence of the Dalai Lama for generations and is also the center of Tibetan political and religious power. Before climbing up to the Potala Palace, you need to climb 1080 steps. Although it may be a little tiring, during the climb, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire city of Lhasa, which will make us forget our physical fatigue!

In the afternoon, visit the Jokhang Temple, the holy place in the hearts of Tibetan Buddhist believers. "Going to Lhasa without going to the Jokhang Temple means you have not been to Lhasa." The Jokhang Temple combines Tibetan, Tang, Nepalese and Indian architectural styles and has become an eternal model of Tibetan religious architecture. Afterwards, we return to Lhasa. On the way back, there is no need to rush, you can slow down and stop for a while in [Yalong Valley]. Standing in this cradle of ancient civilization, you can quietly admire the rivers, icebergs, pastoral pastures, river beaches and alpine vegetation, all reflected in the clear and transparent blue sky, quiet and peaceful.
