Hong Kong residents' SIM cards are also valid in mainland China, with reasonable costs and good signal strength.
Foreign visitors to Tibet can choose from China Mobile, China Telecom, or China Unicom. Registration requires a passport and real-name verification at a service center. Once the balance is topped up, the service can be used. Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan residents can register at the service center at the original price using their travel permit or return permit.
Physical SIM cards typically require real-name registration according to the current regulations of the telecommunications operator.
