3. Linzhi Peach Blossom 8-day itinerary
Day 1: Linzhi airport pick-up/accommodation: Linzhi Comfort Hotel
Today is the gathering day, and partners from all over the world will arrive at Nyingchi Milin Airport. Depending on the flight arrival time, the staff will pick you up at the airport and then take you to a comfortable hotel in Linzhi to rest.
The next day: Linzhi-Gala Peach Blossom Village-Sejila Mountain-overlooking Namjagbarwa Peak-Bomi/Accommodation: Bomi Comfort Hotel
In the morning, we set off from Linzhi City and headed to "Lingzhi Peach Blossom No. 1 Village" [Gala Peach Blossom Village]. The Linzhi Peach Blossom Festival is held here every year. It is surrounded by mountains and is adjacent to the Niyang River on one side. The peach blossoms complement the highland barley, snow-capped mountains and forests, making it extremely beautiful.
Then, we cross the pass of [Sejila Mountain] with an altitude of 4,702 meters, and hang prayer flags together to pray for group members and family members. If the weather is clear, you can see [Nangjagbarwa Peak] from a distance for the first time.
Later, we passed the newly built Pailong Bridge and Tongmai Bridge. The suspension bridges in the mountains and canyons are spectacular and majestic. The once frightening Tongmai natural barrier is gone forever, and the natural chasm has been turned into a path. Suotong Village on National Highway 318 is surrounded by rapeseed flowers, peach blossoms, and snow-capped mountains. In the evening, we will stay in [Bomi] County, which is famous for its "Peach Blossom Wonderland".
Day 3: Bomi-Bomi Taohuagou-Guxiang Lake-Lulang-Lingzhi Bayi Town/Accommodation: Linzhi Comfort Inn
In the early morning, we first went to Bomi Peach Blossom Valley, a scenic spot for viewing peach blossoms in Bomi. It was selected as one of the 100 most beautiful shooting spots in Tibet by China National Geographic. The peach blossoms in Bomi Peach Blossom Valley are more beautiful, unrestrained and wild than other places in Linzhi. The mountains in the distance are intertwined, and peach blossoms are blooming at the foot of the mountains. The nearby villages and wheat fields are also dotted with pink peach blossom trees! All this constitutes a beautiful picture of spring!
After leaving Taohuagou, we continued on to Bayi Town, Linzhi, passing [Guxiang Lake] on the way, which is a barrier lake 33 kilometers away from Bomi County and a beautiful leisure resort.
Saying goodbye to the beautiful Guxiang Lake, we continued westward and came to the unforgettable [Lulang]. At the [Lulang Forest Sea Observation Deck], we enjoyed the snow-covered forest scenery, with primitive bushes and dense spruce and pine forests stretching as far as the eye can see. . Then, take a bus to [Lulang International Tourism Town], walk freely, feel the perfect integration of Tibetan characteristic architecture and natural scenery, and easily enjoy the beauty of Tibet's first national tourist resort.
Overnight accommodation in Bayi Town, Linzhi.
Day 4: Linzhi Bayi-Basongcuo-Lhasa/Accommodation: Lhasa Comfort Hotel
Today we will head to Lhasa, where the altitude gradually increases. After breakfast, go to the most beautiful Red Sect holy lake [Basongcuo] in eastern Tibet. Basongcuo is known as the most beautiful freshwater lake in the world. The lake is crystal clear, with rippling blue waves and fish swimming in the lake, which is exciting. There is a Red Sect Nyingmapa temple on the island in the center of the lake, which has a history of more than 1,500 years. The dense and quiet forest surrounds the jade-like lake. The ancient temple in the center of the lake makes Basongcuo a witness to history. The background is 5,500 meters above sea level. The two snow-capped mountains form an extremely stunning scenery.
Day 5: Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street/Accommodation: Lhasa Comfort Hotel
In the morning, we visited the Potala Palace, the highest ancient palace-style building complex in the world, the residence of the Dalai Lama for generations, and the center of Tibetan political and religious power. Before climbing to the Potala Palace, you need to climb 1,080 steps. Although it may be a little tiring, during the climb, you can overlook the entire city of Lhasa. The beautiful scenery will make you forget your fatigue!
In the afternoon, visit the Jokhang Temple, the holy place in the hearts of Tibetan Buddhist believers. The Jokhang Temple is one of the most important temples in Tibetan Buddhism. It is known as "If you go to Lhasa without going to the Jokhang Temple, you have not been to Lhasa." This is a view that almost every traveler agrees with. The Jokhang Temple combines Tibetan, Tang, Nepalese and Indian architectural styles and has become a classic of Tibetan religious architecture.
After leaving the Jokhang Temple, you can walk around the Jokhang Temple clockwise and imagine yourself as a Tibetan who is praying, or go to the handicraft market on [Barkhor Street], or just stroll on the streets and feel the warmth of Lhasa Sunshine, or find a teahouse and learn the tranquility and contentment of Tibetan friends.
Warm reminder: Tickets for the Potala Palace are pre-purchased and have visit time restrictions. We will flexibly adjust the itinerary sequence based on the actual reserved visit time. You will go through a security check when entering the Potala Palace. Dangerous items are not allowed and photography is prohibited after entering.
Day 6: Lhasa - Yamdrok Yumco - Karola Glacier - Gyantse - Shigatse/Accommodation: Comfort Hotel in Shigatse
Today is a day where you can’t snooze. After breakfast, we will start from Lhasa and gradually climb to the [Gangbala Snow Mountain] at an altitude of 4,900 meters, and then go to the world’s highest freshwater lake [Yamdrok Yumco].
[Yamdrok Yumco] is known as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The blue lake water blends with the snow-capped mountains in the distance, which is refreshing and refreshing.
The vehicle went around Yamdrok Yumco and passed the Karola Glacier, which was used as the location for the movie "Red River Valley". This glacier is right next to the road and is breathtaking.
Continue all the way to the Anti-British Heroes Town [Gyantse], an ancient city with a history of more than 600 years and a transportation fortress from front Tibet to back Tibet. Overlook [Zongshan Anti-British Site] and visit [Baiju Temple], the only one that integrates the three major sects of Tibet and is famous for its exquisite murals and carvings. Then drive to Tibet’s second largest city [Shigatse] and stay overnight in Shigatse.
Day 7: Shigatse-Tashilhunpo Monastery-Lhasa/Accommodation: Lhasa Comfort Hotel
After breakfast, visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the resting place of the Panchen Lama’s soul and one of the six major monasteries of the Yellow Sect. The temple houses the world's largest seated bronze Buddha statue "Jamba Buddha" (Maitreya Buddha) with a height of 28 meters. Then return to Lhasa. There is no need to rush on the way back, slow down and stop in the [Yarlong Valley], the cradle of ancient Tibetan civilization, quietly appreciate it, let the rivers, icebergs, countryside, river valleys, alpine vegetation and everything else be in full view, and be safe contented. The bits and pieces of shadow not far away are not flaws, but the beauty of the sun shining through the white clouds. Then return to [Free Market] along National Highway 318.
